Spiddal/An Spidéal

John McIntyre a native of Spiddal reveals some of his GAA memories from the 1950s/60s/70s

John was involved in football activity in various clubs and counties including his own native Spiddal in Galway.  Over the years his work took him to Cork/Kerry and overseas in Great Britain where he always got involved with the local GAA action.

He also gives an insight into the early days of Spiddal as a new GAA Club which was formed in the 1960s.  The winning of their first West Board title in 1968 and a first county title in 1974 is also addressed.
